The exhibition will be inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Ljiljana Mrkić Popović, the Rector of the University of Arts in Belgrade, and Prof. Zoran Bulajić, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts

About exhibition

As a tradition, every July, the Museum of Applied Art organizes in its galleries an exhibition of works done by students of the final year of the Faculty of Applied Arts. The aim of the event is to promote students and the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.

In the school year 2014/2015, two exhibitions will be organized: along with the graduation exhibition, an exhibition of defended master’s degree works by students of this art faculty will also be set up.

A selection of about 100 works will present the results of students’ and professors’ work during the four-year academic programme.

All of the ten specialized departments, including all of their modules, will be represented at the exhibition

  • Mural Painting,
  • Applied Sculpture,
  • Interior Architecture,
  • Applied Graphic Art (Graphic Art and Books; Graphic Design; Photography),
  • Scenic Design,
  • Costume Design (Fashion Design, Stage Costume Design),
  • Textile,
  • Ceramics,
  • Industrial Design,
  • Conservation and Restoration (Conservation and Restoration of Paintings and Artworks on Paper; Conservation and Restoration of Sculptures and Archaeological Objects).

In the exhibition catalogue of the graduation exhibition, the Dean of the FAA, Prof. Arch. Zoran Bulajić states:

“The abundance of diverse creative approaches, concepts, materialization and artistic expression in various areas of applied arts and design fill us with hope that in the time ahead, this generation of graduates will leave a personal imprint or play a role in at least one segment of contemporary art’s creative output in this region, while continuing traditions of their predecessors.”
