"In the mirror…come and have a look" is the motto of the 34th Salon of Architecture which will be held in the Museum of Applied Art from 28th March until 30th April 2012.
For over thirty years the spring months of March and April were marked by the Salon of Architecture, a first rate architectural and cultural event in our environment which represents a unique "mirror" of various architectural achievements and explorations. This attractive and outstanding manifestation gathers together architects from the country, region and foreign countries and puts on the map a chosen picture of contemporary architectural scene, focusing our attention onto what is important and well done (in architecture). Every year the Salon within its accompanying programme represents numerous guests from the country and abroad, opens for discussion many themes essential for contemporary architecture and the society, encourages students and other segments of interested public to participate in experimental and educative workshops and offers opportunities for sharing experience.
Jury composed of renowned national and international professionals, Vladan Djokić, Vasa J. Perović, Maria Hellström Reimer, Vladimir Lojanica and Ajla Selenić will present the prestigious Grand Prix as well as awards within the following categories: architecture, urban planning, interior, experiment and exploration, guest, publications. Curator to the Salon and editor of the catalogue is Ljiljana Miletić Abramović, MA, curator to the Architecture Department and acting director of the MAA.
More detailed information on the programme of the 34th Salon of Architecture will be in due time published on the site of the Museum of Applied Art www.mpu.rs and in media.
