Exhibition venue: Museum of Applied Art, "Jade" Gallery
Theme "Self Standing Clothes Rack"

It is for the fourth time now that the Technical School "Wood Art" organizes an international creative workshop called "Design Playground". Its participants besides the hosts are high school students from Hungary, Italy and Bulgaria who are engaged in design and furniture production. The workshop will take place at the School premises between 12th and 16th March 2012. During the workshop students will make prototypes of furniture on a given topic using limited quantities of material. This year's theme is inspirational again.

All previous workshops were successful and the works accomplished were displayed at the Museum of Applied Art and several other institutions of culture ("City", Children's Cultural Centre, "Vuk Karadžić"), or represented at many significant design manifestations ("Belgrade Design Week", "Mixer Expo Design", "Mixer", Furniture Fair) and other events ("European Heritage Days, Jevrem's Street of Encounters, Serbia Open, Day of Europe etc.).

The School was awarded for the achieved results by recognitions of economic entities including the Diploma of the Belgrade Furniture Fair for enhancement of practical training (2009), Special recognition for innovative teaching (2010), Special recognition for prototypes of furniture pieces created during the international workshop (2011) and several awards by the Agency for Wood.

The School will avail itself of the opportunity to represent its creative workshop "Wood Art" at this year's International Furniture Fair in Milan (17th until 22nd April) upon the invitation of the organizer of the most prestigious furniture fair.

This year, students of the Designers' Scool in Belgrade, Roth Gyula Gyakolo szakkozepisola es kollegium from Sopron (Hungary) , IPSIA Brugnera iz Brugnera (Italy), Nacionalna gimnaziя za priložni izkustva "Trevnenska škola" from Travna (Bulgaria) and "Wood Art" School will represent their creativity at the Design Playground. Workshop programme activities will be held every day from 9 am till 5 pm at Cara Dušana Street.
