Every year the Museum of Applied Art offers its galleries to the traditional exhibitions of graduate students. In their final school year about a hundred students of the Faculty of Applied Art in Belgrade will present their best works at the Diploma 2011 exhibition.

The exhibition will offer insight into ten specialized departments and eight ateliers of the Faculty of Applied Art – Wall Painting, Applied Sculpture, Interior Architecture, Applied Graphics (Graphics and Book; Graphic Design; Photography), Set Design, Costume (Modern Costume; Theatrical Costume), Textile, Ceramics, Industry Design, Conservation and Restoration (Conservation and restoration of paintings; Conservation and restoration of sculpture; Conservation and restoration of paper art works).

Dr. Ivana Kuzmanović Novović, assistant professor, Faculty of Applied Art wrote in the catalog:

"Suggestibility of displayed works allows viewer to feel the magic of theatre scene and the new kind of spatial thinking as presented by the young artists invites him to interact with the work of art. Displayed works of students of all departments of the Faculty of Applied Art confirm their persistent and permanent work with generous engagement of their tutors, and technical assistants. Participation in competitions and in projects as well as effective cooperation with institutions of culture and companies are result of work of the successful and established team.

….We are witnesses to serious economic crisis that affects value criteria and leads the population towards a recognizable and cheap cultural formula, without affinity for authentic values from the past. Therefore this year's graduates of the Faculty are under onslaught of current trends in art and culture. We expect their creative contribution to contemporary movements in artistic creativity, a dialogue with the international art scene and ….sunshine on their faces."
