Nomadic art and life were Milena Pavlović Barilli's credo. This is why the exhibition "Reflection – New Meanings of Milena Pavlović Barilli" was conceived as Milena's journey, and the suitcases at the exhibition serve as association to all the cities and the countries she passed through. Milena moved around throughout her life: education in Munich, study tours to Spain, sojourn and exhibitions in England, life and work in France and the USA where her life ended in a tragedy. There are, also, her mother's homeland, Serbia, and her hometown Požarevac, as well her father's homeland, Italy, and splendid Rome.

Fashion, stage costume, graphic design during the last years of Milena Pavlović Barilli's, in the eve of, and during the Second World War, were the leading thread on the path she took in searching for her own identity and for the world she lived in. She was an extremely sensitive artist, gifted, imaginative and skillful, and as such her work inspires a huge interest. Magical system in Milena's opus is acknowledged and present still today in the creative code of young Serbian artists, as shown at this exhibition.

The concept of the exhibition is created by professors of Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, Ljiljana Petrović, stage costume, Ingrid Huljev, fashion design and Zoran Blažina, graphic design. The exhibition features selected installations, costumes, photographs and graphic design by students of the respective departments of Faculty of Applied Arts. Dragana Vučetić, New York based costume designer will add to the atmosphere of the exhibition, as well as the scents and audio-recordings of Milena's poetry.
