The collection of commodes and writing desks keeps objects of exceptional artistic value, made during the seventeenth, eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Particularly important place in this collection belongs to a chest of drawers the painter Ana Marinkovi} bought in Italy (Udine) and brought to Belgrade at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Its flat surfaces are abundantly embellished with two most popular techniques in furniture decoration – veneer and marquetry.
